Seaview Retreats welcomes children in all of our properties.

We love children and children love our houses Stargazers, Moonrakers, Dreamcatchers, Shellseekers.In fact they will find it difficult to choose between them !

The advantages of staying in Stargazers, Moonrakers and Dreamcatchers is that whilst you are relaxing sunbathing in the garden in Summer or reading the newspapers or a good book in front of a woodburning stove in Winter the children can enjoy the magnificent gardens and have the freedom of running around and having fun outside !

Stargazers has an enclosed garden with sweeping lawns which are great for roly polies !There is plenty of grass to run around on and great pathways paved with beautiful flowers and plants to explore and hide behind !

The garden has a 14ft trampoline with a high safety net and offers the best sea views bouncing on a trampoline !

For young children there is a wooden climbing frame with a swing and baby swing and slide.

Stargazers also has a games room which is situated just footsteps away from the front door of the house and can be accessed undercover on a rainy day. The games room has a full sized table tennis table and pool table in it which is perfect for adults and teenagers to use.

Moonrakers has a magnificent landscaped enclosed garden filled with beautiful plants and flowers. Whatever the time of year there always seems to be something flowering in it .Moonrakers has a patio area that leads from the house and the gardens wrap which wrap around the house are on three grassed levels

The top lawn has a wooden climbing frame on it with a slide and child swing and baby swing. The middle lawn has a 14ft trampoline with high safety net. It is surrounded by a large lawn to run around on and central decked area surrounded by a mass of purple heather in spring. The lower lawn is a flat expense of grass which is perfect for mini football matches with two goal posts either end ! and badminton and handball. 

Moonrakers has its own brand new games room within the house with a table tennis table . Ideal for teenagers who want their own space. There is also a pool table in one of the lounges.

Dreamcatchers has a magnificent balcony with stunning 180 degree panoramic views of St Anthonys lighthouse, the beautiful headland , Summers Beach , Percuil River and out to sea. In addition it has first class views of theSt Mawes Sailing Club start and finnishing lines !! A staircase from the balcony leads down to the gardens below.

Dreamcatchers has a central terraced garden with pretty ferns and flowers adorning it. At either end of the main terraced garden are two "secret gardens " for children to play in .The garden is a wonderful sunken south facing garden with complete privacy and tranquility.

Dreamcatchers has its own games room within the house with a table tennis table in it for adults and teenagers to use.

Shellseekers is located in the middle of the village and has a lovely balcony with fabulous sea views. Whilst Shellseekers does not have a garden it is only 140 footsteps to the beach ! and .... footsteps to Summers Beach which not only is great for rock pooling and  swimming but swinging ! surprisingly for a beach there is a swing on it !  In the summer there is a pontoon placed in the water for children to swim to and play on. The beach is also perfect as a base for sailing. Shellseekers is also only minutes away from the harbour which provides a fabulous place for crabbing ! All children staying in Seaview Retreats houses  will be  given  our secret tips for the best crabbing !!?? and of course crabbing nets and lines are available in every house for your own use. The water is so clear you may be lucky enough to find starfish, shrimps, and fish ! All we ask is please be kind to our sealife and return them to the water alive and well.

Rainy Days...

Rainy Days Oh No ! whilst St Mawes has a micro climate all of its own and magically misses a lot of the terrible weather the rest of the country has St Mawes still has the odd rainy day ! BUT rainy days can be just as fun in St Mawes whether you are outdoors or indoors.

If you venture outside there is wonderful beach walks to blow the cobwebs away ! If you decide to stay at home and the weather is cold you can snuggle up with a good book and enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stoves in Stargazers Moonrakers and Dreamcatchers and an amazing electric fire in Shellseekers.

Traditional Board Games and Puzzles and more ...

To occupy both adults and children we have a fantastic selection of traditional games and more unusual games and puzzles. For little people we have a dressing up box in every house so whilst the grown ups relax Batman and Cinderella can go to the Ball !!! For older children there is a creative box which we will give you a key to open ! Inside you will find something waiting for budding young designers to put their mark on.
