Moonrakers - St Mawes - Sleeps 12

We are delighted to announce that the renovations and complete refurbishment of  Moonrakers is now complete and the house is  even more spectacular than before !Moonrakers is a luxury self catering home with contemporary interior set in magnificent gardens with breathtaking sea views.

Moonrakers has been extended to accommodate up to 12 guests and has 5 bedrooms with 5 luxury en-suite Villeroy and Boch bathrooms . Four of the five bedrooms ensuite are on the first floor. The 5th bedroom  is on the ground floor. In addition there is a cloakroom with a shower room next door to the bedroom.

The house is set in extensive south facing gardens with outstanding views over Summers Beach, Percuil River, St Anthonys Headland, Falmouth Bay and out to sea. A stunning detached house in a quiet lane, 5 minutes from St Mawes Castle and the famous Lamorran Gardens and the rear entrance of Hotel Tresanton ( access via steep steps ) proving ideal for delicious lunches and dinner.

The house has two master suites offering spacious accommodation and a lounge area. Both master suites have large glass patio doors leading on to an extensive decked area providing spectacular sea, estuary and St Anthonys lighthouse and headland views.

One of the master suites has a magnificent bathroom with double ended free standing bath which provides stunning views either end of the estuary and out to sea whilst relaxing in the bath ( either end !)In addition there is a large wet room shower also providing stunning views whilst standing in it. The bathroom is extremely spacious with underfloor heating in the bathroom. Views from the washbasins are of the village . The bedroom has a superking Hypnos bed in it offering one of the most comfortable nights sleep that you will have ever had !In addition there is a day bed in the room for guests to relax on and just enjoy the views of the estuary , out to sea, St Anthonys lighthouse and beautiful Carrick Headlands.

On the balcony outside this master suite is a table and chairs for guests to enjoy an early morning coffee or evening drinks or simply while away the day soaking up the sun and the views.

A third bedroom has a 6ft superking bed, mirrored glass dressing table . From this room too there are magnificent views of the Carrick Headland, St Anthonys lighthouse and Summers Beach Large glass patio doors leading on to the balcony. This bedroom has its own spacious bathroom located adjacent to it with a Villeroy and Boch bath and vanity unit and spacious wet room shower.

 Three of the bedrooms on the first floor have floor to ceiling glass doors which lead on to a large magnificent wooden decked verandah which has the most magnificent views of the Percuil river, Summers Beach, St Anthonys lighthouse and beautiful headland and out to sea. This is the perfect place to dine whether its breakfast, luncheon or an evening meal. The verandah has an electric awning which covers two thirds of the extensive verandah and is ideal if guests want to relax and enjoy the views in the shade. 

The fourth bedroom is ideal for families and children with a 6ft bed which can be divided in to two 3ft beds and bunk beds leading to a large family bathroom with separate bath and wet room.

The fifth double bedroom is located on the ground floor  and has a 6ft bed bed.Next door is a wet room , toilet and basin.

There are two living rooms providing children and adults with privacy and separate viewing areas. The main living room is spacious and light and has large comfortable leather settees HD television DVD and freesat. Large bi-fold doors open on to the patio and magnificent gardens. The patio has a wooden dining table and chairs , sun umbrella and a barbecue providing perfect outdoor dining ( whether the sun shines or not the setting is perfect ! )

The dining room has a table seating 12 and is open plan providing a light and spacious room with views out to the beautiful garden and glimpses of the sea and pretty CArrick headland . From the dining room one has the perfect outlook in to the living room and a stunning feature of a log burning stove. Moonrakers is ideal as a holiday house whatever the time of the year ! The dining room leads in to the modern kitchen and laundry room.

A spacious games room is positioned at one end of the house and has large glass bifold doors which lead on to the terrace and provides beautiful views of the Carrick Headlands and sea. The games room has a table tennis table and pool table in it which can be folded away to make a spacious chill out cinema room for teenagers and adults ! Perfect for fun in the evening, rainy days and family games !

In the games room there is a 50 ins HD television, all the Wii games anyone could wish for and a fabulous modern electric fire to warm up the atmosphere on those wintry nights !

The magnificent gardens have well tended lawns and rockeries and a choice of places to sit and relax in peaceful surroundings. There is plenty of space for children to run around in and explore . In addition there is a 14ft trampoline with safety net for children to enjoy . There is also a perfect flat lawned area for playing football at the bottom of the garden.

The house has two driveways offering ample space for cars and even a small inflatable dinghy.
